I recently did a survey with my fans and followers.

I asked the following question:  

Q: Okay, honesty time ... why do you think you have NOT achieved the results you want already?

Can you guess what the No. 1 most common response was?

It was this:  
The No. 1 answer:  

“Well, I HAVE done it before. I just slid back into old habits."
As true as this is for so many people, it still doesn’t explain WHY.

So to find out why, we need to look at the second most common answer.

And it was this ...
Answer: 

"Because I don’t have the proper information. There’s too much conflicting information out there.”
BINGO.

Let’s look at this a little deeper because it can mean the difference between backsliding and struggling … to succeeding wildly with almost no effort whatsoever.

On the surface, it seems simple. Eat right, exercise properly and get plenty of rest, right?

Okay, but we all know it’s not that simple.  

For instance, what exactly does “eat right” mean?

And what KIND of exercise?
If you drew a chart as to all the choices we seemingly have to make, it would look something like this:
Look at all those choices and decisions we have to make!  

And each one with its own set of pros and cons, facts and “alternative facts,” etc.

Now isn’t that ridiculous?

If you’ve ever been frustrated with your progress, overwhelmed with the amount of conflicting information we get on a seemingly daily basis, is there any wonder why?

It leads to jumping on bandwagons that are doomed from the start.

If this is you, then I want you to know it’s not your fault.

Think of that one overweight man or woman you see every morning “doing cardio” on the elliptical or stair-stepper — 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes or more without fail every day — and months later they have the exact same body shape with no real visible progress.

If I could hang a thought bubble above every person I’ve seen in that situation, it would read something like this:
"My life is a never ending cycle of eating bad food to reward myself for working out … and then working out to try and make up for the bad food I ate.”
Do you see how insane that is?

Look, it’s not that person’s fault either.
